About the Studio
Lisa's School of Dance
In addition to recreational classes, we also offer competitive dance classes and have an award winning performance company. For the past 20 years, we have presented the community with a Christmas production and donated all proceeds to charity.

Choreography and Instruction
Lisa Walker:
"Miss Lisa" has more than 25 years teaching experience. Her dance training began at the age of three in Chattanooga at the JUNE SARRATORE SCHOOL OF DANCE. Lisa is an active member of Tennessee Association of Dance, American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance and Professional Dance Teachers Association. She received her certification through DEA in 1982 and attends teacher training workshops each year. In addition to receiving numerous choreography awards both locally and nationally, she was also nominated for outstanding young choreographer in 1998. Lisa received the TOP TEACHER AWARD in 2006 from STAR SYSTEMS in Nashville and Myrtle Beach. These awards are given to the teacher/choreographer whose dancers receive the top score in their category. Her students have performed in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Nokia Sugar Bowl and the Music City Bowl. "Miss Lisa's" training includes ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, lyrical and hip hop.

Candace Highfield WARD:
“Miss Candace” is a former student and student assistant of Lisa’s School of Dance. Her training began at the age of three. Candace is an honor graduate of Lambuth University where she was also captain of the dance team. While living in Jackson , TN., she taught ballet, tap and jazz at the CENTER STAGE PERFORMING ARTS COMPANY. Candace has competed in many regional and national events where she received numerous top awards. She has also studied with many famous choreographers such as: Frank Hatchett, Steven Boyd, Bill DeRicco, Sam Fiorello, Janice Barrenger and the late Hank Crabtree. Her training includes ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, lyrical, modern and hip hop. Candace is also a member of Tennessee Association of Dance and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
Student Assistants are available in each class to make certain that every student receives individual attention and correction. All student assistants are trained by "Miss Lisa" and are required to participate in teacher/student workshops on a yearly basis. Our student assistants for 2007-08 include Catie King, Kelly Kizer, Laura Beth Littleton, Stephanie Riley, Katelyn Cornwall, Rachel Vassar and Colleen Brooks.
